The third volume of the Insights series explores the theme of memory and is dedicated to enabling discussion about the significant role that the memory of the past plays in shaping the way in which people behave towards other, as well as the different ways in which people try to come to terms with their past in the Sri Lankan context.
The second volume of the Insights series titled “Love Stories” focuses on exploring the power dynamics, social norms and expectations existing in the day-to-day reality of men, women and children, by using film as a way of addressing crucial societal issues relating to topics such as gender.
The first volume of the Insights series uses the medium of film to explore the themes of social cohesion and coexistence. By inviting audiences to reflect on dominant perceptions in society, it hopes to stir up dialogue on how to incorporate co-existence and integration in its human relationships and transform the numerous social conflicts in Sri Lanka.
