Orr’s Hill Army Museum” is probably the first ever “Open Air” Army museum in Sri Lanka. It was conceptualized by Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP USP ndu,who served as the General Officer Commanding of the 22 infantry Division from September 2015. The concept was made an architectural marvel through creative and innovative design by internationally renowned and acclaimed Architect Kumudu Munasinghe BSc,MSc(ARCH),RIBA, with his generous voluntary contribution. Infantry weapons, armoured vehicles, artillery guns and a resource person-manned audio-visual room are among the wide array of exhibits at the museum that provides a glimpse of colonial and recent military history.
